FINAL PIECE OF NORTH WALES RUGBY JIGSAW IN PLACE

The last piece of the jigsaw of the Rugby development pathway in North Wales is being slotted into place.
Marc Roberts the WRU Performance Development manager is in the process of pulling together a team that will underpin the senior RGC 1404 squad and act as a stepping stone for players coming out of U18s with the potential to break into RGC 1404.

Marc said "I believe this team provides the final rung in the ladder of the development path for both coaches and players in the region. It will give us the opportunity to challenge and shape our potential talent pool beyond 18 years of age. It also gives us a focus with regards to our succession planning"

The team already has potential fixtures against the Southern regional U20s although he wont be limiting the team to U20s as he would want to add some players over that age and look at senior fixtures to test the best local talent.
The team will be run by the WRU RGC ACADEMY and will provide a seamless link between R.A.G. U18S and RGC 1404.
