Below you will find a list of Coaching and Refereeing Courses which are available to members of WRU Clubs in the North Wales Rugby Council area.

Coaching, Development and Referees' Courses information

• WRU COACH EDUCATION PROGRAMME 2008/9 - LEVEL 1 and LEVEL 2

In January 2005, the WRU introduced a new set of coaching qualifications. These qualifications have been developed in conjunction with the RFU, SRU and 1st4Sport, the awarding body. The new qualifications will be recognised by all three home unions.

• The Level 1 Certificate in Coaching Rugby Union ( L1CCRU ) is 21 hours in duration and run together with Rugby Ready course ( 3 hours ). Total cost £120. Rugby Ready is mandatory for all new coaches. It is based on the safety elements which need to be addressed and adhered to whilst coaching.
  
• The Level 2 Certificate in Coaching Rugby Union (L2CCRU) is 40 hours in duration and costs £200.00
  
• The Level 3 Certificate in Coaching Rugby Union ( L3CCRU ). Please contact Tim Hoare for further details.Cost £300.

• The Community Tag Leaders Award  is a WRU qualification. This is 3 hours and costs £20. It is designed for coaches, teachers and students looking to work with the Tag Rugby game. Please contact Tim Hoare for further details
